This Cookie Policy explains how SocialMynt ("SocialMynt", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage and pixels on socialmynt.com, and the choices available to you. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your session, keep you signed in, secure requests, and measure how content performs. Local storage works similarly but is read only by the site that set it.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — authentication session tokens, CSRF and abuse protection, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off; without them the marketplace, sign-in, and checkout do not function.
- Analytics — visitor and page measurement through Cyberpro. The measurement script loads on all pages; your analytics choice still controls optional storage and can be changed or withdrawn at any time from cookie preferences.
- Marketing & attribution (consent-based) — click and optional campaign storage on this site. Referral links can also carry identifiers in their URL and generate server-side click/conversion records; rejecting cookies does not erase those records. Partner-site attribution storage is controlled by that partner's consent notice, not this site's choices.
Third parties
Other storage may be used by our hosting and authentication providers and our payment processor (checkout, fraud prevention, and billing portal cookies). Third-party checkout pages and partner websites have their own notices and settings. See our Data Processing Addendum.
Your choices
When you first visit the site you can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose categories individually. You can change your decision at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use Global Privacy Control (GPC) — we treat a detected GPC signal as a request to reject optional analytics and marketing, even if a prior choice allowed them. Browser "Do Not Track" is not a standardized consent signal and is not interpreted automatically. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and checkout.
Retention
We store your choice in local storage under socialmynt.cookie-consent.v1 for 180 days before asking again. Authentication may persist until sign-out or session expiry. Other preferences, such as a dismissed welcome message, can persist until you clear browser storage. Partner attribution windows vary by campaign and partner policy. Clearing storage resets these choices.
Legal bases and regional rights
In the EEA and UK we rely on your consent for analytics and marketing cookies (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and on our legitimate interests for strictly necessary cookies. In California, rejecting non-essential cookies also serves as an opt-out of any "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information.
